I have been blogging since 2004 when I started with a simple online travel diary. Since then my blogging has morphed through different stages, chemistry, chocolate, science, science policy, politics, feminism, womanism and things in between have been the subject and sometimes focus of my writing. It has been to me an incredible journey through and has transformed me in many ways, both online and in real life.

The place where my writing and my sense of importance are strongest is at that place where science and feminism and politics intersect, both theoretically and practically. On this path I am traveling I want to further explore and develop my ideas and actions. This blog is my sounding board and I hope you will engage with me in discussion.

I am a german chemist, not yet thirty, a candidate for a local council seat for the greens and raised a feminist. I have lived in the US and in Australia, in east Germany and in west Germany. This blog is bilingual because I believe that those of us fortunate enough to feel at home in two languages are bridges of understanding between peoples.
